DreamExpressLures’ Perfect Hook WG is a strong, wide-gap worm hook designed to make bulky soft plastics easier to rig. It features a wide gap that helps accommodate the bulky worms commonly used at Lake Biwa, while providing ample worm-holding power and hook-setting space.
Its original “Mantis Bend” design makes it easier to align the hook straight with the worm, helping maintain proper positioning even for anglers who are unfamiliar with rigging. The size range is well suited to soft jerkbait-style worms approximately 8 to 5 inches long and flat-style bluegill worms approximately 5 to 3.5 inches long, allowing bulky worms to be rigged on the hook in a natural position. Available sizes are 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0.
To rig, insert the hook point into the nose of the worm, then use the Mantis Bend shape to align the worm straight without bending it. It can be used with punch-shot rigs, direct-shot rigs, weightless rigs, and Texas rigs. Select the hook size according to the worm’s size and bulk.
