Biwaa S Trout

Biwaa’s S’Trout is a multi-jointed swimbait that imitates baitfish with a trout-like silhouette. The 6.5-inch floating model measures 160 mm in length and consists of eight segments. Its solid-plastic body is connected with a mesh-like fabric material, providing mobility for each segment while also taking the durability of the overall body into consideration.

The head maintains a straight course while the rear body follows, creating a smooth S-shaped action. By varying the retrieve speed and rhythm, anglers can produce anything from a relaxed S-shaped swim to tight wobbling, and the lure is designed to maintain its action even while falling. In addition to covering shallow water with the floating model, anglers can twitch it around cover such as reed edges to produce a light darting action. For bass fishing, a steady retrieve is the basic approach, while adjusting the retrieve intensity and pauses according to the conditions can imitate the movements of fleeing baitfish.

The lure is equipped with black-nickel treble hooks and stainless-steel split rings. Replacement tail parts are also available. For alternative rigging, a Smith field report shows an example using a 1.5–2 g tungsten sinker added to the front hook eye and paired with a Superior LO Hook #6.
