YARIE’s Grebe was developed by applying the long-casting performance of spoons designed for targeting saltwater predators to bass fishing. Its slim profile and 20 g weight make it easy to reach offshore spots that are difficult to access from the bank, as well as surface-feeding activity occurring at a distance, allowing you to efficiently search a wide area. The front of the body features an angled head shape that catches water resistance to produce a natural, roll-dominant action on the retrieve, resembling a weakened baitfish.
The basic technique is to count down to the desired depth after casting, then retrieve at a steady speed. By varying the depth from just below the surface to near the bottom, it can be used to search offshore breaklines and wide areas. During a fast retrieve, it can also be made to skip across the surface, imitating fleeing baitfish for targeting distant surface-feeding activity and triggering reaction strikes. With its 76 mm length and 20 g weight, it is designed for long casts and versatile searching from the midwater and bottom zones to the surface.
