Black Maria BM Paddle

Blackmaria’s BM PADDLE is a hand-poured worm designed for easy use as a trailer for rubber jigs, on a Texas rig, and in other applications. Its thick body and paddle tail generate strong water displacement. Developed through extensive testing in the fields around Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, including the Lake Kasumigaura and Tone River systems, Lake Inba, the Edogawa River, and the Saka River, the BM PADDLE is now complete. The tail is shaped to catch water easily, producing a distinctive action during the retrieve and accommodating bottom dragging, swimming, and presentations around cover.

The lineup consists of three models: the 4-inch Fat, which maximizes volume; the 4-inch Slim, which has a more compact profile while retaining the same 4-inch length; and the easy-to-handle 3-inch Mini. The 4-inch Fat and Slim are 4 inches long and weigh 10.1 g, while the 3-inch Mini is 3 inches long and weighs 5.5 g. They can primarily be used on a Texas rig with an offset hook or as trailers for rubber jigs. By taking advantage of the body shape and tail action and changing the sinker or rig setup, this paddle-tail worm can be worked in a variety of ways, from bottom presentations to swimming retrieves.
