Bottomup Volupminnow

Bottomup’s VolupMinnow 5.0-inch is a minnow-shaped soft plastic worm developed around the “Yoko-Yoko” horizontal swimming action produced by a wacky setup on a Neko rig, based on a realistic-fish-style soft bait. It is well suited to imitating the pecking movements of baitfish along seawalls and rock faces, as well as the behavior of baitfish being chased toward shore. It can also be used for mid-strolling with a jighead rig.

Deep ribs encircling the body create flexibility and water resistance, generating a rolling action accompanied by body flex during mid-strolling. When switched to a straight retrieve, it transitions into an escape action with the body swinging from side to side. Slits along the back and belly soften the body from the inside, while the deep belly slit produces subtle flashing. Salt is blended into a material that is slightly firmer on the back and softer on the belly, balancing a horizontal posture and stability during mid-strolling with flexibility. Shrimp powder is also added. For a wacky rig, the standard setup is to insert the hook from the body-side bump through to the back, then secure the hook point in the dorsal fin. On a Neko rig, the body can be made to flex and wriggle softly, while a jighead rig allows anglers to focus on the rolling action produced by mid-strolling.
