Bottomup Baby Bull

Bottomup’s BabyBeeble is the smallest model in the Beeble series, designed to combine the strong water displacement and distinct vibration that are difficult to achieve with mini spinnerbaits with the easy handling made possible by its compact size. It weighs 3/16 oz., and is available in Tandem Willow (TW) and Double Willow (DW) blade configurations. The size and thickness of each component have been finely adjusted to produce a strong, noticeable action even with its lightweight design.

The splitter is designed to make the skirt move dynamically like a small baitfish wriggling through the water, creating lateral vibration and a strong pulling sensation transmitted to the rod. It also helps prevent the bait from rising, making it easier to keep the lure running at a consistent depth. The teardrop-shaped head features a low center of gravity to stabilize the lure at high retrieve speeds, while also helping it recover its posture after contacting cover. Its tapered profile transitions smoothly from the arm to the head, making it easier to deflect off obstacles. The rear blade is designed to spin easily even on slow retrieves, stirring the water with a wide rotational angle. The front blade is shaped to catch water effectively even when the splitter obstructs the flow, and is configured differently for the TW and DW models.

The lure uses a slim 0.6 mm wire, which helps transmit the blade’s vibration to the skirt while also providing enough cushioning to reduce the chance of missing light, pecking bites. The BKK hook is designed with consideration for shank length and strength, making solid hooksets easier even without adding a trailer hook. Its lightweight design makes it suitable for slowly covering shallow water, maintaining a consistent depth during the retrieve, and working the lure with occasional contact around cover. However, because it uses a slim wire, avoid striking cover too forcefully or lifting fish out of the water with the rod.
