Bottomup Flummy

Bottomup’s FLUMMY was developed around a shimmy fall—a side-to-side action during descent that has rarely been achieved with metal vibration lures. Its fall resembles a small baitfish fleeing toward the bottom, while flashing reflections attract fish. During lifts and retrieves, it produces a tight action reminiscent of a baitfish.

The belly features a cup-shaped ABS receiver that catches water during the fall to generate the shimmy action. The lightweight ABS resin defines the fall’s swing amplitude while also promoting a quick response when lifted. A single line eye is provided, prioritizing an agile start to the retrieve and a natural swimming action during lifts. Although it moves slightly forward as it falls, its lifelike action allows you to attract fish while dropping the lure precisely where you want it.

The basic technique is a lift-and-fall presentation: let the lure sink near the bottom, lift it with the rod, and allow it to fall again. To facilitate the shimmy fall, the double hook is attached directly rather than connected with a split ring, and features a fluorocarbon coating. The lineup includes 3.5 g, 5.0 g, 7.0 g, and 10.5 g weights. Since each weight produces a different action, each model has been individually tuned.
