Bottomup Reazzy

Bottomup’s REAZZY is a shad crankbait developed to trigger bites while quickly covering water with a lateral action, even in situations where a crankbait with a strong action is difficult to use on heavily pressured waters. Its realistic baitfish-inspired profile is combined with a sharply edged, vertically flattened body that reveals its sides, creating complex changes in its appearance through both its swimming action and light reflection.

The circuit-board lip, inserted into a slit on the exterior of the body and secured with adhesive, contributes to a sharp action and quick response resulting from its thin construction. A weight in the head accentuates the head roll, producing a soft wobble-and-roll action that flexes the entire body. A fixed center of gravity in the belly allows the lure to begin swimming quickly after landing and produces a subtle knocking sound despite its non-rattle design. It swims in a horizontal posture reminiscent of a small baitfish, making it suitable not only for covering wide areas with a steady retrieve, but also for presentations with limited forward movement using light twitches or jerks. The stock hooks are Shunkan Treble #8, and the recommended snaps are #00–0.

The REAZZY APPEAL PLUS retains the basic design while using a bone material to slightly increase buoyancy and wobbling width. Its high-specific-gravity, small-diameter tungsten weight adds a subdued rattle sound. In addition to a standard steady retrieve, it is also suited to buoyancy-based techniques such as continuous twitching just beneath the surface.
