Bottomup’s BREAVOR MICRO 3.0-inch features a design that combines the water-gripping action of a ringed body with the vibration of a shad tail to compensate for the lack of appeal typically associated with an ultra-compact body. The shad tail vibrates even during the fall, creating a subtle shake throughout the body while maintaining a strong presence. With the tail intact, it functions as a shad-tail worm; cutting the tail at the narrow section converts it into a straight worm, making it a versatile 2-way design.

For a wacky rig, setting the hook at the band in the center of the body generates a self-propelled crawling action. It responds to rod movements with a lifelike, undulating motion. When using an offset hook, hiding the hook point in the thicker section of the body makes it easier to rig the hook straight and enables a snag-resistant setup that is well suited for fishing around cover. The recommended hook size is an offset hook in size #6. From finesse presentations that take advantage of its small, slender profile to the attraction generated during the fall, it can be used in different ways by varying the rig and tail configuration.
