Ichikawa Fishing RC Flat Shad

Ichikawa Fishing’s RC FLAT SHAD is a crankbait fully supervised by Rick Clunn, who personally selected everything from the body design and lure name to the colors. It incorporates a design concept in which the flat-sided shape moves more water, making it easier to signal the lure’s presence to large fish with well-developed lateral lines. It is also intended for use during low-light periods and in water with poor visibility.

The lineup includes the 45MD and 65MD models. The 45MD measures 45 mm in length, weighs 5.9 g, and has a diving depth of 1.5–2.1 m. It comes standard with RC KAMAKIRI hooks in sizes #6 and #4. The 65MD measures 65 mm in length, weighs 14.5 g, and has a diving depth of 1.8–2.4 m; it comes standard with RC KAMAKIRI #4. The difference in size and weight allows anglers to choose the model according to the target depth and tackle being used. Both models are designed to take advantage of the characteristics of a flat-sided body and are suited to probing the designated mid-depth range with a steady retrieve.
