Fishman Brist

Fishman’s BRIST comodo 6.10XH is a baitcasting rod designed for long-distance casting of big baits and magnum baits, accurately targeting specific pin spots. Rather than simply increasing the rod’s stiffness, Fishman aimed to create a blank that loads deeply through the midsection during the cast. After three years of testing and refinement, the rod was equipped with highly sensitive 4-axis carbon. While handling heavy lures, it absorbs the load across the entire rod after the cast and during the fight, delivering the characteristic performance of the BRIST series.

The rod features a three-piece construction with an overall length of 208 cm and a packed length of 76 cm. Despite its portability, it handles lure weights from 10 to 150 g and PE lines from No. 3 to No. 10. The guides use titanium and stainless steel K-guides, making the rod suitable for fishing with thicker leaders. In bass fishing, it is capable of long-distance casting 3–4 oz-class big baits and even heavier magnum baits, while also being easy to use for low-trajectory casts to precise targets. As a pack rod, be sure to connect each joint securely before use and check for any loosening after repeated casting. The manufacturer also recommends using ferrule wax to protect the joints and help prevent them from seizing.
