PH Custom Lures’ PH Hickey P is a crankbait designed with a flat-sided balsa body and circuit-board lip to swim through shallow water with a tight, fast-pitched action. Its 2.5-inch, 3/8-ounce body produces more vibration than its size suggests and tracks depths of 2–4 feet. When it contacts cover such as standing timber, stumps, or rocks, it displays an erratic deflecting action and is designed to be less prone to snagging than plastic crankbaits. Its key features are the subtle wobble and strong vibration produced by its slim body.

Described as a model that excels in fall, when cooling water temperatures bring shad closer to shore, it can be used year-round for targeting shallow water.
