DSTYLE’s VIROLA V-TAIL is a shad/minnow-shaped soft lure designed to produce an escape action that triggers the predatory instinct, using an ultra-thin, sliced fin tail. The movement generated by the tail changes with retrieve speed: a fast, straight retrieve produces a finely vibrating, quivering action, while a slow retrieve creates a side-to-side flashing action. It is designed to generate different levels of attraction not only with a steady retrieve, but also by varying the retrieve speed.

It is available in 2-inch and 2.8-inch sizes, weighing 0.6 g and 1.7 g, respectively. For the lightweight 2-inch model, the manufacturer recommends an offset TNS #6 hook, a trout hook in sizes #10–#8, or a Hover Stroll hook #6. For the 2.8-inch model, recommended options are an offset TNS #2 hook, a trout hook in sizes #6–#3, or a Hover Stroll hook in sizes #3–#2. For jighead rigging, both sizes are designed to be paired with a weightless-style jighead mounted on the hook shank. Match the hook size to the lure size and adjust the retrieve speed to make use of the tail’s vibrating and flashing actions.
