DSTYLE’s GILLUULA 2.5-inch combines the small-fish profile of the VIROLA with bluegill-inspired elements, featuring a flat-bodied design with a realistic face and realistic eyes. The wide, spreading tail grabs plenty of water to produce the fine, quivering action characteristic of the VIROLA. The body is designed to be rigged either vertically or horizontally, allowing for different presentations depending on the rigging orientation.
For offset-hook rigs, the HAYABUSA TNS or DAS OFFSET 1/0 is recommended. It can be used with a weightless rig, Texas rig, free rig, drop shot, leaderless drop shot, Carolina rig, and more. The intended setup is vertical for jig heads and hover-shot rigs, and horizontal for weightless, Texas, free, and drop-shot rigs. The HAYABUSA FINESSE WACKY #6 is recommended for finesse hooks, while the RYUGI HOVER SHOT #2 is recommended for hover-shot rigs. It can also be used as a jig trailer. Despite its realistic appearance and subtle tail action, it is designed with cover fishing in mind.
