issei’s Spatela Slim 6.5 in is a slim worm designed primarily to entice bites, with its length and slender profile precisely tuned to attract bass while allowing them to inhale it without hesitation. It inherits the “fish-catching balance” of the Spatela, combining a long, slender, earthworm-like body with a Spatela tail that is asymmetrical both top-to-bottom and side-to-side.
The slender body is shaped for easy inhalation, while the tail catches water to create complex movement. It responds to even subtle currents and rod movements, producing a lifelike, writhing action from the body and tail. In addition to imitating an earthworm pattern, it is also intended for use when bass are reluctant to bite or when targeting visible bass. Recommended rigs include split shot, neko, and wacky rigs. With a neko rig, the weight allows anglers to work the bait with rod movements such as subtle shaking. Recommended hooks are #4–#1 multi-offset hooks and #8–#4 trout-style hooks.
