issei’s Ashinaga Shizumimushi is a soft bait featuring two pairs of thick, curved, elongated legs and one pair of fluttering antennae, designed to add lifelike movement to the original Shizumimushi body. The body features ribs that make it easy to hide the hook point while also catching water effectively. During lift-and-fall retrieves and bottom dragging, the long legs flap vigorously and stir the water, creating a strong presence through both visual appeal and water displacement. After reaching the bottom or during a pause, the legs exhibit a restoring action as they attempt to return to their original open position, while the long legs and antennae flutter spontaneously to maintain movement even when the bait is stationary.

The recommended setup is generally a size #2 to #1 Multi Offset Hook. The legs’ action can be brought to life with lift-and-fall or bottom-dragging techniques, either weightless or combined with a sinker. The legs also feature factory locks, allowing you to cut them as needed to fine-tune the action. Based on the Shizumimushi body shape, this 1.8-inch model adds underwater action from its long legs.
