issei’s G.C. Kanehira Shad 46MR-SP is a versatile multi-flat-side shad inspired by the Kanehira, a type of bitterling. Its compact body generates strong vibration and flash. The 46mm, 6g flat body produces the high-pitch action characteristic of small plugs, while the flat sides create intense flash. Equipped with a weight-transfer system, it is designed for easy use with both spinning and bait finesse tackle.

The lure has a suspending (slow-floating) action and is suitable for shadding techniques as well as steady retrieves at a consistent depth. The manufacturer envisions its use for shadding during the coldest winter months and for retrieve-based attacks during the peak season. It is primarily used by retrieving after the cast; when worked with rod action, its flat body produces a high-pitch action and flash that entice fish. It is fitted with #12 hooks at both the front and rear, along with #1 split rings.
