Issei Shizumi Mushi

issei’s Shizumushi is a soft bait that combines long-casting performance from its high-density material and streamlined body with legs that produce subtle action during the fall. Its caterpillar-style body features three pairs of legs, which generate fine vibrations during the fall and retrieve. Ribs on the body make it easy to conceal the hook point while catching water to bring out the bait’s action.

With a weightless rig, the basic setup allows the bait to fall in a nearly horizontal posture while the legs quiver subtly. Insert an offset hook from the thinner end of the body; a Multi Offset #1 to 1/0 is recommended for the 2.2-inch model. Attaching a nail sinker to the thicker end of the body allows it to be used in a backslide setup. In addition to targeting fish primarily during the fall, the legs produce subtle vibrations during the retrieve, while the body shape and ribs catch water to generate action. This 2.2-inch model is suited to covering water with long casts and fall presentations, while offering different control options with weightless and nail-sinker rigs.
