Issei Gill Flat

issei’s Gill Flat is a soft lure designed to mimic the swimming action of baitfish, combining the volume of a bluegill with a lifelike S-shaped action. In addition to its realistic appearance created by the newly developed Caramel Scale design (PAT.P), it features a hollow-molded body with an air chamber in the upper section. The buoyancy provided by the air chamber, combined with balance adjustments made using a nail sinker, produces a natural swimming posture and action. The body is designed to accommodate a Cultiva Multi Offset #4/0 hook, which is rigged horizontally, perpendicular to the body. The hollow section not only provides buoyancy, but also makes it easier to expose the hook point for improved hook-setting performance.

In addition to the basic nail rig, the lure can also be used with Texas and Carolina rigs. Changing the position or weight of the nail sinker allows you to adjust the swimming posture and the posture during the fall. If water enters the air chamber, it can be drained through the drainage hole on the top. If the hole becomes enlarged or the body loses its shape, making the buoyancy less stable, the included buoyancy material can be cut and inserted into the air chamber. The lure measures 110 mm in length and weighs 20 g. Recommended hooks are the Multi Offset #4/0 and Jungle Wacky #3/0.
