DUO International’s REALIS VERSA PINTAIL is a pintail shad worm designed to produce either a natural presentation or a highly attractive action, depending on how it is worked. Its low-center-of-gravity, flat-sided body features a fuller belly, making it easy to generate movement throughout the body as well as vibration from the pintail.
On a jighead rig, vertical shaking uses the body shape to create a rolling action and flash, while subtle horizontal shaking produces a natural action that makes the pintail quiver. One of its key features is the ability to switch between a high-impact presentation and a delicate, minnow-like swimming action by varying the intensity of the retrieve. In addition, the flat-sided body readily catches water, creating an erratic darting action that kicks from side to side with an irregular bending motion when jerked weightless. Even without jerks, the body shape allows it to fall with a natural, wobbling action.
Slits are provided in various parts of the body to accommodate the hook point, helping improve hookup rates while reducing snags.
