Duo Realis Nomake Gill

DUO’s REALIS NOMASE GILL is designed with the swimming and feeding movements of bluegill in mind, combining elements of both soft and hard lures. Its flexible, supple elastomer body is paired with an internal weight to achieve both the natural vibration of a soft bait and the operating feel of a vibrating lure. The weighted version measures 56 mm in length, weighs 10 g, and is designed to sink. On a steady retrieve, it swims while vibrating its body, while on the fall it produces an escape-like action resembling a fleeing bluegill. It also responds to jerks and lift-and-fall presentations, allowing anglers to switch between horizontal retrieves and vertical manipulation.

The design allows the action and presentation to be changed through different hook setups. In the basic configuration, with the included weedless-style guarded hook rigged along the back, it is easier to approach areas around cover and gaps between tetrapods. A pro staff explanation also introduces rigging a jig head by lightly hooking it through the head. This takes advantage of the buoyancy of the weightless body to create a posture resembling a bluegill pecking at the bottom. The weighted version is used primarily for sinking and swimming, while the weightless version is used with a jig head or sinker to adjust buoyancy and posture.
