DUO’s REALIS JERKBAIT series includes body sizes in the 85, 100, 110, 120, and 130mm classes, along with floating and suspending models, allowing anglers to choose the right lure for the size of the baitfish and the desired buoyancy setting. Its bold, flattened flat-side body produces a high-pitch rolling action, creating flash and water displacement to appeal to bass keyed in on baitfish. Designed with a linear response and consistent casting distance and action, it delivers a range of movements according to the retrieve, from a steady retrieve to jerking.

The smallest model in the series, the REALIS JERKBAIT 85F, is an 85mm, 7.3g fixed-center-of-gravity floating model that carries over the action of the previous model in a compact body. The floating model can also be fine-tuned by reducing its buoyancy with strip weights, allowing it to be adjusted from slow floating to nearly suspending. The basic techniques are a steady retrieve at a consistent speed and pausing after a rod-worked jerk, with the duration of the pause varied according to the fish’s response, water temperature, and line. Models such as the 85F, 100F, and 120F can be selected to match the bait size and conditions of the fishing area, while the difference in buoyancy between the F and SP models can be used to adjust the running depth and the lure’s posture during pauses.
