One Knack’s DEVITAN is designed as an adhesive tape that assists hook setting when attached to a lure. It uses Dentaloop material (PAT.P), made by weaving ultra-fine fibers into loops. The fibers are designed to catch on the small teeth of fish that touch the lure, as well as the keratinous rings inside the arms of squid, helping maintain contact during a bite. Compatible with a wide range of hard lures and egi squid jigs, it is applied directly to the lure body as a solution for short bites that are difficult to hook with hooks alone.

Before use, wipe away any dirt, moisture, and oil from the area where the tape will be applied, then cut it to the required size and attach it. Because the tape functions in all 360 degrees, there is no need to carefully align the direction of the fibers during application. Applying it to the lure body or to areas where additional hooking assistance is desired helps the Dentaloop material come into contact with the area around the fish’s mouth during a bite. Rather than being a component that significantly changes the lure’s action, it is a lure accessory added to an existing lure to assist hooking performance.
