RAID JAPAN’s SKM (Super Kosoc Machine) is a compact shad crank developed to fill the gap between crankbaits, which can be overly aggressive, and shad plugs, which may lack power in certain situations. Its 60 mm, 3/8 oz-class body generates an ultra-high-pitch, tight action. As soon as the retrieve begins, it produces a delicate yet vivid, high-speed wobble-and-roll reminiscent of a shad plug. It also offers excellent tracking stability, allowing anglers to make tight, contour-hugging casts and retrieves around bottom obstacles such as scattered rocks. As it slips past obstacles by the narrowest of margins, its movement, combined with its body profile, evokes the image of a fleeing crayfish.

The SKM is best used with a steady retrieve to quickly and precisely search shallow cover, including small areas such as creeks, vertical seawalls, riprap, rocky stretches, reed beds, and areas around bushes. Target the range from approximately 80 cm to 1.5 m deep, running the lure along the bottom or cover to create a high-tempo, aggressive power-plugging presentation.
