RAID JAPAN’s CUTSWING is designed around a tuning method that involves cutting the tail of the FULLSWING and attaching it in reverse, combining the casting distance of a high-specific-gravity soft bait with enhanced bite appeal on the bottom. Its stable posture during casting minimizes rotation and trajectory deviation, while the ultra-thin V-shaped tail folds against the body during flight, helping to prevent it from reducing casting distance.

During retrieval, the ultra-thin V-shaped tail creates an appropriate amount of resistance to suppress body rotation and reduce line twist. During bottom jerks, it maintains a sharp action while adding a lifelike presence even while the bait is paused. As the tail strikes the bottom, it also produces a cloud of sediment. During bottom turns, the bait appears and disappears within the cloud, creating movements reminiscent of bottom-dwelling creatures such as crayfish, shrimp, and gobies. The design also addresses the hook-up rate, which can be a challenge with high-specific-gravity soft baits: the soft material and deep ribs allow the entire body to bend easily with minimal pressure. The 2.3-inch model weighs approximately 6.5 g, while the 3.0-inch model weighs approximately 12.5 g. Set an offset hook according to the size, let the bait sink to the bottom after casting, and use it with a combination of jerking, dragging, and pauses.
