RAID JAPAN’s JERKRIPPER is designed to reach a deeper range that conventional jerkbaits have difficulty accessing, attracting fish with strong water displacement and long darting movements. Measuring 122.0 mm and built around a 5/8 oz-class body, it features RAID JAPAN’s original cowl-tail structure. When worked with rod action, it firmly catches the water and produces sharp darting movements with significant side-to-side travel. Select colors use a low-density bone material that offers excellent buoyancy and responsiveness, while also producing a high-pitched rattle sound for added attraction.

Another key feature is the way its action changes depending on how it is worked. Lightly tapping the line slack straight downward causes the lure to pitch forward in place while pressing water downward. A short, stronger input produces a short side-to-side sliding dart. Snapping the line slack sideways with medium to strong input changes the action into a long dart enabled by the cowl-tail structure. In addition, applying a strong downward jerk while reeling makes the lure firmly catch the water and transmit a substantial, powerful water-displacement pulse to the lower layer. When targeting fish holding in expansive weed beds, around cover, or one level below the main structure in reservoirs, as well as sluggish fish staying in deeper water during the coldest months, anglers can adjust the strength and direction of their inputs and their tackle setup to find the action that matches the fish’s response on any given day.
