RAID JAPAN’s BUKKOMI CRAW is a high-specific-gravity backslide bait designed to be sent toward distant targets such as dense cover and the far bank. Weighing approximately 14 g, it is configured to deliver an optimal balance of casting distance and controllability when used with a weightless rig featuring a #4/0-class offset hook, MH- to H-power baitcasting tackle, and relatively heavy line of 14 lb fluorocarbon or heavier.

To achieve a balance of casting distance, body durability, and action during the fall, different materials are used for the head and body. The head’s flared skirt is made of a slightly firm, non-salt material with strength and resilience, helping it withstand full-power casts and contact with cover while also securely holding the offset hook’s offset section. The body contains a large amount of salt for high specific gravity, while its slightly flattened shape catches water as it falls downward. The legs along the sides of the body produce a subtle trembling action and help stabilize its falling posture. It is primarily used on a weightless rig with a #4/0-class offset hook rigged from the skirt side, while inserting a nail sinker into the rear of the underside of the body allows further adjustment of casting distance and slide range.
