RAID JAPAN’s LITTLE SWEEPER is a realistic fish-shaped soft lure developed to imitate bite-sized baitfish that are weakened and slow-moving, rather than agile-swimming minnows. Designed primarily for fishing with a dropshot rig—keeping the sinker on the bottom while allowing the lure to drift with minimal forward movement—it is suited to baitfish patterns.
The uniquely shaped fish tail generates subtle water currents during the fall, retrieve, and rod-induced shaking, creating the movement of a weakened baitfish. The distinctive pectoral fins catch water to provide a moderate sense of control and amplify the action during shaking. Air holes inside the body provide the necessary buoyancy, helping the lure maintain a horizontal posture underwater. The 2.5-inch model is designed primarily for dropshot rigs, but is also compatible with weightless, jighead, nail, and Carolina rigs. Nose-hooking is the standard setup, while the body slit also allows for alternative hook placement, making it possible to adapt the rigging to conditions ranging from open water to cover.
