RAID JAPAN’s OSAKANA SWIMMER is a swimbait designed to attract bass with the presence of a real baitfish, creating lifelike movement not only during the retrieve but also from the fall through the pause. The body features a sharp-edged square cross-section, while the thickly designed head and water-catching dorsal and anal fins push water and generate presence not only during the retrieve, but also under even slight line tension while drifting. An internal buoyancy insert delivers a natural fall speed through its precisely tuned specific gravity, along with a setup that makes it easy to maintain a horizontal posture. The tail kicks during the retrieve, while its subdued movement also allows for a more restrained presentation during a free fall with slack line or while paused.

Another key feature is the inline-through system, which routes the line through the nose without using an eye, split ring, or swivel. The hook can be positioned toward the head and secured inside the body through its slit, allowing it to withstand impacts such as skipping while releasing from the body and becoming free when a fish is hooked. By routing the line out through the back or belly, anglers can choose either a back-hook or belly-hook setup and adjust the rig for different applications, including fall-and-pause presentations around cover or when sight fishing, as well as standard swimming retrieves. Although primarily designed for slow retrieves, it handles everything from ultra-dead-slow to fast retrieves. The 125 is a slow-sinking model measuring 125 mm in length and weighing approximately 35 g, while the 145 measures 145 mm and weighs approximately 52 g.
