Raid Japan Master Jig

RAID JAPAN’s MASTERJIG is a full-size cover jig designed from the ground up, with every component reevaluated to achieve an advanced balance of penetration through cover, the ability to slip through obstacles, and hooking performance required of a cover jig.

The hook is a custom flat-forged hook with a Teflon coating, designed with an ideal shape and size, the strength to withstand full-power hooksets, and a sharp point that penetrates quickly—even on unexpected bites. The head shape was refined through repeated testing using hand-carved samples, with careful consideration given to ease of entry into cover, obstacle avoidance, and stability on the bottom. In addition, original rubber skirt material with specified thickness and hardness delivers the ideal balance of flare and volume. The weed guard is also balanced for each weight, allowing it to deflect off obstacles while making it easier to drive the hook home.

In addition to casting it into cover and working it through, the MASTERJIG can also be fished in open water, taking advantage of its stability on the bottom. Its design also allows it to be used as a mid-water swimming jig for techniques such as jig stroking. It is available in 7 g, 9 g, 11 g, 14 g, and 18 g weights, allowing anglers to choose according to the target depth, cover density, and desired feel during the retrieve.
