Raid Japan Head Slide

RAID JAPAN’s HEADSLIDE is a swim jig designed to navigate cover that other lures have difficulty passing through, with a focus on cover penetration and a stable swimming posture. The head shape is designed with consideration for penetration through and ability to slip through cover, as well as its posture on the bottom. Combined with a minimally sized brush guard, it is configured for tight casts around cover and other obstacles. It also features a worm keeper to help prevent the soft bait from slipping, along with silicone skirt material tuned to match the swim jig’s action.

The 30° eye hook designed for the HEADSLIDE has a slightly finer wire diameter, balancing strength with penetration during the hook set. During the retrieve, it is designed to maintain a stable swimming posture and quickly recover its posture after slipping through cover following contact. The 5 g and 7 g models feature relieved sections and fin-shaped details on the sides of the head to provide lift when fishing ultra-shallow water, accommodating retrieve speeds from dead slow to fast. The 9 g and 11 g models are designed for applications that require the lure to sink and therefore do not feature relieved sections. They can be rigged with trailers such as shad-style soft baits and retrieved steadily at a consistent depth, or used while winding it into and around standing timber, riprap, brush, and other cover.
