RAID JAPAN’s AVI is a series of falling baits developed to entice finicky fish to bite. As it sinks through the water, it attracts fish on the fall, while the legs along the sides of the body create subtle vibrations. This makes it effective for techniques ranging from leaving it motionless on the bottom to dragging it along the bottom. When crawled across the bottom after reaching the lakebed, its silhouette and movement change to resemble small crustaceans such as shrimp.
The AVI50 is a backslide worm designed for easy use with bait finesse and power finesse spinning tackle. It is intended to slide deep into cover and deliver a delicate fall around and within cover. A weightless rig is the basic setup, while it can also be used in a backslide configuration with a nail sinker added. The AVI35 is a finesse model that pursues an even more delicate fall than the AVI50, and can be paired with a nail sinker according to the fish’s depth and condition. Both models are suited to setups using an offset hook, allowing anglers to focus on attracting fish during the fall and producing subtle action after reaching the bottom.
