Raid Japan Egu Bug

RAID JAPAN’s EGU-BUG is a compact hog-style soft bait developed to make the most of the skirt on small rubber jigs, including the EGU-DAMA, while also allowing the trailer itself to create a natural presence. Primarily designed for use as a small rubber jig trailer, it can also be rigged as a standalone soft bait.

The body features uniquely shaped fins on the head that catch water, while curved ribs run from the sides to the belly. The air trapped within the ribs helps maintain a moderate level of buoyancy, allowing the bait to respond delicately to subtle movements such as falling and shaking. Rather than relying on constant, aggressive movement, its design combines the skirt’s fluttering action with the soft bait’s minute movements to entice fish without compromising the overall action of the small rubber jig.

When used with a small rubber jig, threading the hook through the body along the fine ribs makes it easier to rig the soft bait straight. With a drop-shot rig, the air contained within the ribs helps create a natural drifting action and delicate movement, making it well suited to light shaking and pauses near the bottom. This model is designed for use as a small rubber jig trailer, with a drop-shot rig, or for finesse presentations as a standalone soft bait.
