Raid Japan Level Shad

RAID JAPAN’s LEVEL SHAD is a model developed to efficiently target selected depths from the bank by packing the essential features of a shad plug into a compact body. Measuring 50.3 mm in length and weighing 4.3 g, it features a suspending setting and runs at an average depth of 1.5–1.8 m. Its compact body incorporates a balance design for stable flight and a magnetic weight-transfer system, making it easy to handle when casting despite its lightweight class. On the retrieve, it produces a fine, fast, ultra-high-pitch action reminiscent of a fleeing baitfish. Rather than drawing fish in with strong water displacement, it is designed to entice strikes by presenting the lure with natural vibrations.

The basic retrieve is a steady, constant-speed retrieve. After diving to the desired depth, keep the action stable while guiding the lure along the target course. Varying the retrieve speed or adding short pauses also allows for presentations with changes to the standard action. The suspending setting can be used to momentarily stop the lure around cover or near breaklines. The LEVEL SHAD Sprinter 68MR is a 68 mm, 5.9 g slow-floating mid-runner model that inherits the ultra-fine vibration action and is designed to probe deeper water than the original, reaching depths of up to 2.2 m.
