Raid Japan Oka Ebi

RAID JAPAN’s OKA EBI is a shrimp-style soft bait developed not only for a realistic appearance, but also to reproduce a lifelike presence underwater, a natural posture after landing on the bottom, and a distinct contrast between “still” and “active” action. The body features delicate components such as arms, curls, and legs, each producing a different type of movement. In particular, the ultra-thin curls on the sides of the body are designed to catch even the slightest current and impart complex movement to the arms. The legs, which vary in length, also produce subtle vibrations during the fall and retrieve, adding an overall sense of life.

During swimming and falling, it creates a sensual “active” action reminiscent of a shrimp desperately escaping a predator. After settling on the bottom, however, the components continue to move gently, transitioning into a “still” action that resembles a shrimp naturally hiding itself. A single body combines reaction-triggering movement with a more subtle, bite-inducing presentation that excels during a bottom pause. The 2.5-inch model is easy to use on a drop-shot rig or as a finesse jig trailer, combining falling, swimming, and bottom-stationary presentations. When paused after shaking, the curls and arms continue to move slowly underwater.
