RAID JAPAN’s LEVEL VIB is designed to address common shortcomings of conventional 50 mm-class lipless crankbaits, including casting distance, adaptability to fast and slow retrieves, weed and debris fouling, responsiveness during the retrieve, power, and the ability to maintain a consistent running depth. Its 54 mm, 3/8 oz-class body swims in a level posture, with the design taking into account the alignment from the line eye to the rear hook hanger. It begins vibrating immediately after the retrieve starts while maintaining a stable running depth. In addition to a standard straight retrieve, it can be used to continuously track a specific depth or to create a vertical presentation with a lift-and-fall retrieve. When it reaches the bottom, the body is designed to stand upright for stability.

The series also includes the LEVEL VIB B.I.G., which offers increased presence and the ability to search a wider area. Despite its 64 mm, 5/8 oz-class full-size body, its action is tuned to be subdued for high-pressure conditions, while its light retrieve resistance allows anglers to cover water efficiently. A main weight positioned in the head strikes the inner wall of the body in a one-knocker configuration, producing a distinctive knocking rattle sound in response to the action. On a standard retrieve, it is easy to trace at around 2 m and can also be used to skim just over the tops of weed beds. Featuring the original model’s level swimming posture and bottom-standing performance, this lipless crankbait is suitable not only for moving-bait presentations but also for lift-and-fall retrieves during the coldest part of winter.
