RYUGI’s LT CARO OFFSET is an offset hook designed for use with heavy Carolina rigs, with a focus on reducing worm slippage during long casts and when contacting weeds or structure. Although it has a compact profile, this power-tackle model features a heavy-gauge wire construction and offers the strength needed for use with Carolina rigs.
In terms of construction, the distance from the eye to the bend is set longer, with a keeper barb positioned along this section. In addition, the matte black coating helps prevent the worm from slipping, making it easier to keep the worm secured to the hook. The worm is less likely to shift due to centrifugal force during casting or when contacting weeds and structure, helping maintain the hook setup until the rig is retrieved.
To use, rig the worm in an offset configuration and attach it to the leader of a heavy Carolina rig.
