RYUGI’s HOVER SHOT FG is a fine-guard version of the HOVER SHOT, designed for hover-strolling soft baits through tight spaces around structure that were difficult to target with the conventional model. Its snag-resistant design helps minimize contact with cover and other obstacles, while also making it suitable not only for hover-strolling, but also for insect patterns that keep soft baits suspended near the surface.
The guard can be adjusted from its base in the direction indicated by the arrow, allowing you to change the guarding strength according to the distance between the guard and the hook point. Increasing the distance makes the guard stronger, while moving them closer together weakens it, enabling settings suited to the location and obstacle conditions. With hover-strolling, it is primarily used to make the soft bait drift naturally in the mid-water column, and is also well suited to sending it tightly alongside structure. Pulling on the guard or repeatedly bending it may cause it to come loose or break, so adjust it carefully from the base. Available sizes: #3, #2, and #1.
