RYUGI’s BEETS TG is designed to combine the “sensitivity to detect pinpoint bottom changes” and “ability to slip through cover” required of a heavy Carolina sinker. Its balance, with the center of gravity positioned along the rig’s forward-and-rear axis, together with the body’s distinctive projecting shape, makes it easier to detect changes in the bottom and the feel of contact when encountering cover. Rather than simply reducing snags, this Carolina sinker is designed to let you use it while sensing information from the bottom.
The sinker body features a tapered shape and a long, rigid tube that projects in the direction the rig is moving. When the sinker contacts cover, a force lifts its front end upward, helping to reduce snags. The design also helps prevent the tube from entering gaps between rocks, providing consideration for line protection. It is suited to dragging the bottom with a heavy Carolina rig while checking for cover and changes in terrain. The SBE135 is available in weights ranging from 1/8 oz (3.5 g) to 1 oz (28 g), allowing you to select the weight according to the water depth, bottom conditions, and desired level of control.
