RYUGI’s Pierce Twin Brutal is a plug hook designed for high-load situations when using heavy tackle or PE tackle for plugging. It focuses on the stretching and breakage caused by twisting when multiple hooks are engaged, an issue that can easily occur with fixed double hooks and treble hooks. It uses a twin-hook system in which two single hooks are bundled together with heat-shrink tubing, allowing each hook to move flexibly according to the load.
The shank diameter is increased to reduce the risk of deformation when only one hook is engaged, while enabling hooksets that minimize power loss caused by hook deformation. The reduced penetration resulting from the thicker diameter is addressed with a micro outbarb on the hook point and a TC coating. Its distinctive design concept combines hook strength and mobility for high-load plugging applications. The model number is HPT120.
