RYUGI’s HEAVY WEIGHTED PIERCE is a worm hook with an increased weight based on the basic design of the WEIGHTED PIERCE, intended for swimming presentations in deeper ranges and falling presentations in deeper water. It is suited to natural swimming presentations with shad-tail worms and stick baits, as well as fall-oriented fishing with flat-sided worms. By increasing the sinking speed over the standard model, it is designed to efficiently search deeper ranges.
The sinker is positioned and shaped like that of the standard model, contributing to a well-balanced swimming posture when the worm is rigged while helping reduce snagging in weeds and around cover. The hook uses the proven PIERCE HOOK TC for swimming presentations, and when setting the hook, the special worm keeper shifts the worm backward to expose the hook point. Combined with the TC coating, it is also designed for excellent penetration. Rig it through the worm’s body for swimming at a consistent depth, or use it for fall-focused presentations. Available sizes are 3/0, 4/0, 5/0, and 5/0+, with weights of 1/16 oz, 3/32 oz, and 1/8 oz.
