RYUGI’s PIERCE DOUBLE applies the lure-hook design philosophy developed through the PIERCE TREBLE series to a double hook, pursuing an ideal balance of hooking performance, penetration, and strength. Its wide gap, slightly inward-facing hook points, and downsized barbs enhance hook-ups and penetration, while its high-strength shape and highly durable material help maintain sharpness over time.
Designed based on an examination of situations in which double hooks are used, the opening angle between the two hooks is adjusted to prioritize snag resistance without excessively reducing hooking performance. When mounting it on the same lure, select one size larger than the treble hook. Sizes #8–#6 feature slightly thinner wire for use with small lures, delivering sufficient penetration even with low hook-setting power. Sizes #4–#1 use the same wire diameter as the PIERCE TREBLE for strength suited to standard use, while sizes #1/0–#2/0 are intended for rigging on large lures and prioritize penetration with a wire diameter that is not unnecessarily thick.
