Ryugi Wire Carousel Swivel

RYUGI’s WIRE-CARO SWIVEL is a wire Carolina rig swivel designed for the demands placed on the entire rig when making powerful casts with a heavy sinker. A thin, ridged, rigid wire is used between the swivel and Twin Lock Snap. When passing through weeds, the wire cuts through them like a hacksaw, creating a smooth, effortless weed-pulling action. The wire’s moderate stiffness also helps reduce line tangles when handling or casting the rig.

For securing the wire sleeve, an industrial high-strength press is used instead of a hand press, which can produce inconsistent strength. This provides the strength required at the sinker-side connection of a Carolina rig designed for use with heavy sinkers. Model ZWS023 is available with wire lengths of 10 cm, 14 cm, and 18 cm. The swivel is a 6×7, 83 lb model; the wire is #38×7, 37 lb; and the Twin Lock Snap is size 1, 51 lb. Install it between the sinker and the main rig, and choose the wire length according to your leader length, weed density, and desired feel during operation. Before casting, check the sleeve fastening and all connection points, and use the product only when the wire is securely in place and free of deformation.
