ENGINE’s DEROFLA4 is a gill-style worm with a flat body design, named after “Deronderon Flat.” Made from elastomer material blended with salt and a special formula, it appeals to bass by producing a loose, undulating action throughout the entire body when retrieved steadily.
Its defining feature is the series of raised, inverted ribs covering the entire body. During the fall, these ribs catch the water and create an action that makes the body tremble. Taking advantage of the body’s movement and the water resistance generated by the ribs, the DEROFLA4 is suited for use as a jig trailer, with a football head, on a free rig, neko rig, or heavy drop shot. For the 4-inch body, the recommended hooks are the SUPERIOR CO Hook #3/0 or a trout hook in sizes #1 to #1/0. In addition to producing an undulating action on a straight retrieve, its design lets anglers take advantage of the trembling action during the fall and the feel when working it along the bottom, depending on the rig, bringing out the distinctive action of a flat bait.
