ENGINE’s Surfacehang 60 is a topwater plug developed to convert light surface bites and explosive strikes that can knock a lure away into solid hooksets. Its defining feature is a vertical, suspended-looking floating posture at the surface, unlike the typical horizontal floating position. Taking advantage of the body’s posture, it is equipped with treble hooks at both the front and rear, providing a hook setup that handles bites from a variety of angles.
The basic presentation is to leave it stationary, but it also responds to a straight retrieve, twitches, and ultra-high-speed retrieves. In addition to keeping it motionless on the surface and waiting for a bite, anglers can impart action to actively entice fish. A steady retrieve keeps the lure moving across the surface, while twitching combines forward movement with pauses, allowing the presentation to be adjusted according to the fish’s response.
