ENGINE’s BOOM is designed to meet the demands of insect-style lures for highly pressured fish in Lake Kameyama, with particular attention to size, salt content, casting distance, and minimal movement after landing. Developed from the experience of Kazuto Hanyu, who guided on Kameyama Dam for many years, it also focuses on practical performance in the field. Measuring 1.2 inches, it combines a compact body with a carefully balanced salt content to provide casting distance while allowing anglers to work the lure without moving it excessively.
The primary technique is a fine shaking action imparted through rod movements, while it can also be suspended and worked around cover. It is designed for use with both offset hooks and wacky-style hooks, allowing anglers to choose the setup according to the target area and presentation. When you want to entice fish without moving the lure far from where it landed, shaking or suspending makes it easy to create action in one spot. From cover-oriented approaches with an offset hook to nimble presentations with a wacky-style hook, it can be rigged and fished in a wide range of ways.
