Nishine Lure Works Smelt Head Finesse

Nishine Lure Works’ SMELTHEAD FINESSE is a jighead for finesse swimbaits, developed to combine delicate control with reliable durability. Originally designed to capture the power of steelhead swimming through strong currents and their selective feeding behavior, it has been refined into a model that is also highly effective for bass fishing.

A triangular blade is mounted on the underside of the jighead. As the blade repeatedly moves from side to side during the retrieve, it creates a rolling action in the head itself. The soft bait’s action is combined with the jighead’s roll and the blade’s flashing effect to produce a complex swimming action. When the movement of the rigged soft bait synchronizes with the action of the head, it creates a lifelike swimming presentation.

Designed to be fished by rigging a soft bait and tying the line to the line eye, the series is available in three weights: 1.5 g, 2.7 g, and 5.0 g. The 1.5 g and 2.7 g models use an Original #1 hook, while the 5.0 g model uses an Original #2/0 hook. Choose from lightweight to heavier models according to the depth and control required.
