Nishine Lure Works Drop Shot Hook

Nishine Lure Works’ Nishine DS Hook was developed with a focus on keeping the hook from tilting on a drop-shot rig and allowing the worm to be set in a stable position. Tying it with a Snell knot helps keep the hook point facing upward, while its unique shape and rigging method are designed to help maintain the proper orientation of the entire rig.

The original #2 model is the standard version, featuring a long shank, robust wire, and excellent penetration. It is recommended for use with the Nishine Drop Shot Minnow 3.4". The #5 and #7 are designed with the hook point facing outward to prioritize hookups, making it easy to rig worms short and helping catch light, short bites. All models are intended for use on drop-shot rigs, while maintaining the hook’s orientation and the worm’s action.

The lineup also includes the #2WG, based on the #2 and equipped with a weed guard, and the #2TK, featuring a V-shaped trailer keeper. The #2WG is designed for rigging that minimizes interference with the worm’s action and is intended for use around cover such as weeds and brush piles. The #2TK makes it easy to secure a worm with a sewn-on rigging style and is compatible with setups for swimming small swimbaits on a drop-shot rig. All hooks are made by Ichikawa Fishing in Japan and feature a smooth “Magic Coating.”
