Nishine Lure Works’ DROPSHOT MINNOW is a soft bait developed for clear-water smallmouth bass, with an emphasis on a natural underwater posture and self-generated action. Made from highly buoyant G3 material, it is designed to help the body maintain a horizontal position when rigged on a mosquito hook. It also features the natural colors unique to hand-poured baits, along with a salt finish covering the entire back.

Even when left stationary without shaking the rod, the body responds to lake currents and the slightest line movement, creating a subtle presentation. In addition to the standard dropshot rig, it can also be used with a jighead or a wacky rig. The 2.5-inch model measures 64 mm in length, weighs approximately 1.8 g, and is compatible with a #5 Nishine DS Hook. The 3.4-inch model measures 85 mm in length, weighs approximately 3.0 g, and is recommended for use with a #2 Nishine DS Hook. The different sizes allow you to choose the right balance of profile and attraction, while on a dropshot rig, a natural action can be elicited primarily through a stationary presentation, lake currents, and line manipulation.
