PALMS Flesh Back 80SP is a suspending minnow designed to trigger minnow-eating predators with sharp rod-induced action from a suspending position, using a distinct contrast between pauses and movement. Its beautiful, humped-back body, which curves upward from the low-set line tie, achieves stable swimming by placing the point of maximum buoyancy at the center. A fixed weight system, rather than a moving weight system, is used so the lure responds sensitively to rod manipulation and reproduces the minnow-like movements of baitfish.

Underwater, it remains stable at rest in a slightly nose-down position, and produces a sharp action when worked with rod movements such as twitches. The water-gripping lip creates a more natural movement from the suspending position. Its low-angle lip design also helps provide casting distance for a slim minnow with a fixed weight system. The basic retrieve involves casting the lure, allowing it to reach the target depth, working it with the rod, and then incorporating pauses, making it suitable for presentations that combine stillness and action.
